ELCI – Monmouth, OR

Environment is important to learning.  For more than twenty years our school has been helping international students succeed. 

Our small town is friendly and safe.   The English Language & Culture Institute is a great place to learn English.  Oregon has no sales tax, so the cost of living is lower. Our town is host to Western Oregon University. Our students can use the facilities there.

We are 15 minutes from Salem the state capitol, one hour from Portland, and one hour from the beautiful Pacific Coast! There are lots of fun things to do here!

 
Homestays in our town are friendly and kind. They are happy to make you a part of the family. Homestay can be an important part of your learning environment.  Apartment living is another inexpensive option.

The ELCI has a full activity calendar. Our Living Language Labs (LLL) are designed with learning and fun in mind. You will learn, ask questions, and enjoy! There are many beautiful and fun places to see and experience, including: The Oregon Coast, Silver Falls, Portland, Salem, Skiing, Hiking, Festivals, and more!
