What is the GED?

The GED or General Education Development credential is a way to certify the basic education of a student.  Passing the GED test is the equivalent of high school graduation.  Virtually all universities and colleges in the U.S. accept the GED.

Students that did not graduate from high school for some reason, or who want to get an early start can use the GED.  GED tests are administered by state sponsored institutions.

There are five areas of focus in the GED test.  They are Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, and Writing.

Students must reach a minimum score of 410 in each of these areas, with an average of the five scores averaging 450.

Our experience is that when students get close to 500 TOEFL, they will also be ready to pass the GED with a little help from our courses.
